Slay-at-Home MOM Style: Spring Style Round-up

Spring is here! Well, for the most part. Spring is that time of the year that you have to keep a portion of your wardrobe winter and summer and mix and match accordingly. Most mommas can relate to the fact that some days are very hard to style ourselves out of pajamas, much less an entire spring wardrobe. I have compiled a capsule spring style round-up wardrobe that is sure to keep you warm and cool AND for the yoga pants days.

The first spring style round-up is a top pin from my Pinterest site getting over 1000 views a week! I like this one because it is so easy and cute. You could go to the grocery then to the park without looking like you forgot to look in the mirror. This look you could change up by wearing white or light baby pink pants with a black or navy shirt. Versatility.

Floral is the name of the game for spring, go figure! I personally LOVE floral and bright colors but my little sister would cringe. Neutrals are her thing. If florals are not your thing maybe try a print of some kind, stripes or houndstooth, for example. The goal for the outfit is the print in this spring style round-up so make it you!

#2: Florals (click Graphic to shop look)

Like before, florals are in for spring. A printed scarf with a tee shirt is my way of being fancy for a spring style round-up in a “cool mom” way. This is so easy to do to either dress up with wedge sandals or dress down with a pair of converse. I am the mom that wants an easy outfit without too much forethought so tell me I can wear a tee shirt and I’M IN!

The utility vest with a stripe shirt is a functional spring style round-up for a busy mom. Although I’m sure there are so many that would just see it as fashionable, I however, can see the fruit snacks, tissue, and a debit card in those pockets. I have a grey one that I wear with a turquoise shirt. This is super cute for shopping at the mall or a doctors visit.

OMG. How easy is this? Spring is one of those seasons you have to be prepared for all seasons. This spring style round-up has a long sleeve sweater and a tee shirt underneath, if its cold in the morning you can take off the sweater when the temperature rises. Plus it is so cute. What I try to find are outfits that I can do multiple things and activities in. As a mom, we get caught doing so many activities and unprepared with what we wear. Can you not see yourself sitting at a soccer game in this outfit then heading out to eat with your best friend for a girl’s night out?

This is my Chi. I can rock this look all day long basically everyday. Now I have to at least look like I have other clothes, hence the others listed here, but this is my favorite. A tee shirt so I can run and play football with the boys and glammed up for a lunch date with my husband. The ultimate in functionality for a spring style round-up. Not to mention mom worthy so you don’t feel like a clown.

Spring is here with a summer and winter mix, lol. In Kentucky, we are constantly stuck in a multiple personality disorder with the seasons. Some days are in the 80’s with morning temps of 42 degrees. For this spring style round-up, shorts and a sweater are never off key in spring especially if you have plans of being outside all day at a soccer tournament.

Finally ladies, the yoga pants for the spring style round-up! Don’t feel like dressing up for the day? Here is the alternative in a super cute way (or if you are actually going to workout, wink) Don’t forget your water bottle!

Making sense out of spring with these fashion tips should make shopping easier and targeted for your spring style round-up. Just remember the basics:

  • Jeans (black, blue, and white/pink)
  • Yoga pants
  • Jean/Fabric shorts
  • Sweater
  • Tee shirts (Plain and Printed)
  • Long sleeved shirts (Plain and Printed/Striped)
  • Utility vest
  • Accessorize with jewelry and handbags of your choice and shoes accordingly

I use these as guidelines and when I am shopping find what I like and make the style my own. Check out my post 5 tips to find clothes that fit EVERY TIME: #momspiration to help find your fit.
